Unprecedented. Extraordinary. Unbelievable.
How the Virus can make us re-evaluate, and appreciate normal.
I couldn't imagine the world as it is now. Everyone said the world is due some kind of Crash as there hasn't been on in over a decade, and while all of this was starting - the thought of it being inside your own home was unthinkable... but it sure does make you miss normality
I mean McDonald's is closed... Where am I supposed to fulfill my Latte needs now - and no it's not the same at home.
I've been extremely lucky in that work hasn't stopped or changed, if anything I'm busier than ever. For me the thing I miss the most is the hustle and bustle of the city, people everywhere, the option to do anything whenever you wanted - without thinking is it open... or legal.
I coach a weightlifting class which was held on zoom the other day, and it was so much fun... purely because the social aspect of talking to other people and checking in with others - this whole thing is going to get us to understand how important it is having other people in your life.
Completely Underrating Relationships
I think after everything's been said and done with this quarantine, seeing family and friends is going to be a whole new experience. We've taken the little things in life for granted, my weekly trip to my parents' house for dinner, going for a coffee with the boys, hell, even shopping on a weekend... When it's all back to normal it's going to be surreal.
I'm not going to say everything happens for a reason, but what I will say is that in every situation you find yourself in, you can find joy in the conclusion. For me, the joy will be what we termed as "normality".
